JAPAN
On March 15, $10,000 in funding
was initiated by your Northern
NJ Rotary district 7470. Funding
is through Rotary Foundation
and is directed to the "Japan
2011 Disaster Recovery Fund".
When you contribute to Rotary,
you contribute to "boots on
the ground" organizations
that can immediately help those
in need. That's what Rotary does.
Please
make your tax-deductible
donations to the address
below.
In the near future, we will also
be collecting clean stuffed toys
to ship to Japan. We want the children
to participate and help the children
in Japan. Please keep in mind the
toys will need to be shipped so
if you can, donations for shipping
are greatly appreciated
HAITI
With your donations, we
delivered to Haitian victims 2
days after the earthquake. From
January 2010 to July 2010, We shipped
over 40 tons of food, clothing,
medical supplies and small stuffed
toys to villages in Northern and
Southern Haiti.
The effort continues. We are in
need of funding toward a larger
project. We have a goal of $45,000
toward an effort to build a community
project. This project would be
to give children and adults an
opportunity to learn. It would
also focus on clean water. Please
consider contributing toward this
tax deductible project.
THANK
YOU
IRVINGTON
ROTARY!
For donating a battery and generator
to a Dominican Republic school. Electricity
is sparse and often not on during
school hours in isolated villages.
Irvington Rotary and the Rotary
Club of the Caldwells joined forces
to purchase and ship a battery
and generator to a school so they
have the electricity they need
to learn. Interested in a project
like this? Please call us, it is
easy and costs under $1,500.
THE
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Schools, water systems and farms. Projects
like these build communities and
give opportunities to the children
and adults of small villages. These
are rewarding projects that our
local individuals, schools and
businesses can help produce. We
guarantee you will be amazed at
all of the work done to date in
the Dominican Republic.
